Hot water and heating all year round with forced circulation

In forced-circulation solar thermal systems, a pump—controlled by the control unit—circulates the fluid between the collectors on the roof and the storage tank in the boiler room. The result is high efficiency even during the cold months, with the ability to provide both domestic hot water and supplemental space heating.

Why Choose Forced Circulation

The collectors and storage tank are separate: the collectors are installed on the roof in the most favorable position, while the storage tank remains inside the home, insulated and protected. The control unit regulates circulation based on actual temperatures, maximizing efficiency in every season. This configuration is ideal for families with high hot water demand, low-temperature heating systems, and hospitality facilities.

Pleion Detectors: X-RAY R, Eclipse System, and Flat Detectors

X-RAY R is Pleion’s high-efficiency vacuum collector, designed to perform effectively even at low outdoor temperatures and under diffuse sunlight. The Eclipse System is the solution that combines aesthetics and performance for exposed installations. Flat-plate collectors round out the lineup for more traditional system designs. All configurations are compatible with Pleion solar stations, control units, and storage tanks.

Supplement to Space Heating

When combined with a thermal storage system and a low-temperature heating system—such as radiant panels—forced-circulation solar heating directly contributes to heating the home, reducing the workload on the boiler or heat pump precisely during the months when energy consumption is highest.

Design Support

Pleion’s technical support team assists installers and designers in sizing the system and selecting the most suitable configuration: number of collectors, storage volume, and integration strategies with the existing generator.
