How does a solar thermal system works and how much can you save?

Solar thermal uses the unlimited capacity of the sun to give us energy every day, in all seasons, for free, forever.

Your current heating system can be combined with our solar panels and technology to be able to produce domestic hot water and provide additional heat to the heating circuit.

Solar Thermal heats a liquid, either domestic water directly or a heat transfer fluid that sends heat to your home’s system via an exchanger.

Solar thermal systems can be used to heat water in a house or pool, for low temperature heating systems (floor systems), or for integration into pre-existing systems.

A Pleion solar thermal system is based on a very simple operating principle:

1. The collectors, which are also called panels (usually located on the roof) use various types of technology to collect solar rays and their energy; this energy heats the water that is then collected in the solar accumulators (tanks) for later use.
2. The heat water is kept at a desired temperature thanks to an electronic control unit.
3. The result is that for at least 7 months out of the year you can turn off your water heater and let the Sun give you all the heat water you need, for free!

Our tankless water heaters EGO and FREEGO are easy to use and very high-performance in the summer or in geographic areas with a lot of sunshine. They are limited to 300 litres. The water is heated directly by the sun and kept inside the built-in system in EGO and FREEGO.
