Conto Termico 3.0
What Is the Thermal Account?
The Conto Termico 3.0 program provides incentives for projects aimed at improving the energy performance of buildings and promoting the use of technologies powered by renewable energy sources. It offers a concrete opportunity to reduce energy consumption and maximize the return on your investment.
The following are eligible for the incentives:
- Heat Pumps
- Heat Pump Water Heaters
- Hybrid/Bivalent Systems
- Biomass
- Efficient District Heating
- Renewable Microgeneration
Who is eligible for the incentives?
Public Administrations
Private Individuals
Third-sector organizations
Why a heat pump?
In the summer, the need to produce domestic hot water for a
heat pump that is operating in cooling mode triggers a cycle reversal (the cooling stops and
hot water is produced).
Thanks to the SOLAR THERMAL system, which produces domestic hot water, the heat pump operates solely for space cooling. Furthermore, in winter, the SOLAR THERMAL system still contributes to efficiency by optimizing performance and reducing energy consumption for domestic hot water heating.
SOLAR THERMAL combined with a heat pump ensures complete self-sufficiency in DHW production.
SOLAR THERMAL is the only source that allows you to turn off the heat pump during the months with the most sunlight, ensuring you have free hot water from the sun for most of the year and significant savings on your utility bill.

For residential and high-consumption systems
Most projects are eligible for a subsidy of up to 65%.
In certain cases involving public buildings such as schools, hospitals, healthcare facilities, and buildings used by municipalities with fewer than 15,000 residents, the incentive is set at 100% of eligible expenses.
The amount is divided into 2 or 5 annual installments, depending on the type and scope of the project. The payment is made in a single installment if the total amount of the incentive is less than or equal to €15,000.
The Conto Termico 3.0 program rewards high-performance products: the incentive is calculated based on the efficiency of the solar collectors as stated in the Solar Keymark certification (which is required to qualify for the incentive).
The higher the efficiency, the greater the incentive!
Other factors taken into account when determining the amount are related to the use of the solar system
(DHW, space heating, process heat, etc.).
The Pleion X-RAY R series vacuum-tube solar panels deliver industry-leading performance and, as a result, qualify for the maximum incentive!
