Solar Energy for the Healthcare Sector
Design and installation of a medium-sized solar thermal system at the Pordenone Hospital, developed to support the production of domestic hot water and space heating through the use of renewable energy. The system consists of 153 X-RAY 21R solar collectors spread over a total area of 680 m², sized to meet the healthcare facility’s high energy demands.
The project was designed with a particular focus on operational reliability, service continuity, and energy consumption optimization—all of which are critical in a hospital setting. Thanks to the use of high-efficiency technologies, the system helps reduce the facility’s environmental impact and energy costs, improving the overall performance of the building-system complex.
The project is a concrete example of the application of renewable energy in the healthcare sector, where technological innovation, sustainability, and energy security are key to the efficient management of public facilities.
